ring ceremony

The Class of 2025 officially became upperclassmen at the cherished Ring Ceremony that took place on Friday in the H. David Bowes Auditorium. This year’s theme was provided by Proverbs 4:25-26: “Let your eyes look straight ahead and your gaze be focused forward. Survey the path of your feet, and all your ways will be sure.” Ring Ceremony is a wonderful moment for our juniors as they took the opportunity to reflect on how much they have already accomplished as a class, beginning their high school years in a pandemic and on separate campuses to persevering and coming together as one at Cathedral Prep.

President Kevin Smith led the student body in an opening prayer, followed by reflections from class officers Adrienne Catrabone ’25 and Rashaun Hilliard ’25. A slideshow featuring photos of many of the moments that have forged a strong bond for the Class of 2025 was shared during the ceremony as well.

The rings were distributed to the students by Assistant Vice Presidents of Student Affairs Mrs. Veronica Seip and Mr. Rick Herbstritt ’96. Fr. Jason Feigh then blessed the Class of 2025 and their rings! Vice President of Academics and Student Affairs Mr. Will Pituch ’01VMA closed out the ceremony with remarks commending the Class of 2025’s connections and bonds they’ve formed as a class, and how those will propel them for years to come. Following the ceremony, a reception was held in the main concourse for the juniors and their families.

Class rings are a symbol of the never-ending bond and connection they will have with each other and with Cathedral Prep for a lifetime! 💍
