ring ceremony

The Class of 2027 officially became upperclassmen at the cherished Ring Ceremony that took place last Friday in the H. David Bowes Auditorium. This year’s theme was provided by Matthew 5:14: “You are the light of the world.” Ring Ceremony is a wonderful moment for our juniors as they took the opportunity to reflect on how much they have already accomplished as a class.

Vice President of Academics & Student Affairs Jason Ladouceur led the student body in an opening prayer, followed by reflections from class officers Lillian Blake ’27 and Brady Sambuchino ’27. A slideshow featuring photos of many of the moments that have forged a strong bond for the Class of 2027 was shared during the ceremony as well.

The rings were distributed to the students by Principal Mrs. Veronica Seip and Assistant Principal Mr. James Duke. Fr. Ben Daghir then blessed the Class of 2027 and their rings! President Kevin Smith closed out the ceremony with remarks commending the Class of 2027’s unity as a class and how that will propel them for years to come. Following the ceremony, a reception was held in the Salata Technology & Innovation Center for the juniors and their families.

Class rings are a symbol of the never-ending bond and connection they will have with each other and with Cathedral Prep for a lifetime. Saint Thomas Aquinas, pray for the Class of 2027!💍
