We are excited to share a new episode of The Rambler Podcast, featuring Cathedral Prep alumnus Dan Doyle ’79. Dan is an entrepreneur, energy industry leader, and author of the memoir “Of Roughnecks & Riches.”
Dan’s journey is a remarkable story of perseverance, reinvention, and entrepreneurial spirit. After studying geology at the University of Pittsburgh and beginning his career in the oil industry in Texas, Dan navigated industry downturns. He would pursue filmmaking at NYU’s Graduate Film program before ultimately returning to the energy sector, where he helped build successful companies during the rise of the American fracking boom. Today, he serves as president of Reliance Well Services and president of Arena Resources.
On this episode, Dan reflects on his years as a student at Prep, the highs and lows of entrepreneurship, leadership lessons learned through adversity, taking risks, adapting through uncertainty, and the personal journey behind writing his memoir. It’s a fascinating conversation about resilience, innovation, and what it truly takes to build something from the ground up. Click the links below to listen! 🎙️
