The MVP Department is hosting a Coffee House Concert in the Salata Technology & Innovation Center on Tuesday, November 14! The concert begins at 7:00 p.m. Not only will the Show Choir and Acapella Ensemble be performing, but students will also perform solos, duets, and small group numbers in an open mic style concert. Admission is $5 per person, and coffee, baked goods and concessions will be available for purchase throughout the evening. Members of the Outreach Club attended the Rotary Club of Erie’s luncheon yesterday. They had the opportunity to describe to Rotarians the service work we are currently doing, including Operation Christmas Child, before hearing a presentation about tourism in Erie from VisitErie. #Prep #Outreach

• In an overtime thriller, boys soccer advanced to the PIAA quarterfinals with a 2-1 victory over Montour. Down 1-0 in the closing minutes, Luke Trocki scored to send the game into overtime. Just over one minute into overtime, Noah Handzel would score the golden goal to seal the Ramblers victory. ⚽
• Varsity hockey bounced back with a 3-1 victory over Mt. Lebanon. Chris Bruschi, Mathius Sprickman and Braydan McGarry scored, while Tanner Ball made 30 saves in net. 🏒

Cathedral Prep Weekend Athletics Roundup:
• It was another great performance by girls cross country, who placed second in the state in the PIAA championships. Anne-Catherine Brown placed sixth overall, while Lauren Raimy also medaled with her 12th place finish. Fina Bannister was took 42nd. Allison Bender was 68th, while Caitlin Dugan finished 86th. Grace Barrett and Sarah Teed also ran for Prep. Congratulations to Coach Brown and the Ramblers on another outstanding campaign! 👟
• The PIAA AA Girls singles and doubles championships took place over the weekend at Hershey Racquet Club. In singles, Anna Poranski closed out her fantastic career, falling to Lansdale Catholic’s Emerson Selgrath in straight sets. In doubles, the tandem of Sophia Glance/Finleigh Handzel picked up a straight set win over the team from Masterman. They would fall in the quarterfinals in three sets to the tandem from North Catholic. Great season girls! 🎾
• Varsity hockey split their games against the PHA Icemen this weekend. They picked up a 4-3 win, before dropping their second, 3-0. 🏒

Led by Ms. Kuntz and Mr. Vicary, students participated in Penn State Behrend's Women in Engineering Day on Friday. Penn State Behrend gold partner for our Academic Pathway Program. The day introduces high school students to the world of engineering and what engineers do. Students in the Architecture & Engineering Path got exposure to a variety of engineering fields including structural, electrical, chemical, mechanical, and aerospace. Students had the opportunity to work on various workshops throughout the day, as well as hear from different speakers. #Prep #WomenInEngineeringDay











CP_Esports and the BCIT department celebrate Fortnite Friday! With the launch of Fortnite’s new season, the BCIT department embraced the “grind,” “cranked some 90s,” and discussed the phenomenon that Epic Games created seven years ago. Emerging Technologies watched live as Fortnite launched what is expected to be their most successful season in its history. Entrepreneurship class discussed Epic Games lawsuits with Apple, the microtransaction structure (the class action lawsuit payout from recent months) of Epic Games Item Shop, and the economic impact the type of hype and excitement that this event is causing in the gaming industry. Mass Media continued the discussion of podcasting by watching Famous content creators like NickEh30 and SypherPk play the new map with record breaking views. Yesterday, MedPath students heard an engaging message from Mr. Boo Hagerty ’80, chief development officer of the Hamot Health Foundation, at the launch of the “Lunch and Learn” Series for this school year. Hamot Health Foundation is a platinum partner for our Academic Pathway Program. He spoke about the importance of “finding your why,” patient care, and career paths. He shared examples of Prep and Villa alum who are accomplishing great things in the field of medicine, encouraging the students, and reinsuring them they can do the same. #Prep #MedPath

• Congratulations to Boys Soccer! They captured the District 10 AAA Championship with their 11-1 win over Meadville. Noah Handzel had a hat trick. Dylan Danch and Max Johnson each scored a pair. Kwame Anim-Soumah, Cameron Dunbar, Luke Trocki, and Andrew Spitzer rounded out the scoring. The victory was the Ramblers 10th straight title, and 35th overall. Congratulations to Coach Tojaga and the team! ⚽🏆


Student Council, in conjunction with other clubs and organizations, held the second annual Fall Fest for our little brothers and sisters at Mother Teresa Academy yesterday!
